Clinical Experience: OMS ElectroChemotherapy

OncoSec has accumulated a significant database of patient responses in a variety of tumor types using the OMS ElectroChemotherapy therapeutic approach.  To date OMS ElectroChemotherapy has been tested in 11 clinical trials conducted in 13 countries across 83 sites.  Human data has been collected in over 400 patients with cancers ranging from basal and squamous cell carcinomas, melanoma, adenocarcinoma, Kaposi's sarcoma, pancreatic, hepatic, oral, and head and neck cancers.  The data demonstrate that OMS ElectroChemotherapy is safe and effective against solid tumors and tumor margins, independent of histology.  OMS ElectroChemotherapy is tissue sparing and benign to wound healing, improves patient quality of life measures, reduces post-operative care, and carries has significant pharmacoeconomic advantages over the current standard of care.

Complete response is similar to treatment by surgery, without removal of healthy tissue

Based on the success of OncoSec's previous clinical trial experience, advanced stage clinical studies using OMS ElectroChemotherapy for the treatment of non-melanoma skin cancers (i.e. squamous cell carcinomas and/or basal cell carcinomas) will be initiated by the end of 2011.
